How can I combine people's love of food and their cities?

Inspired by the notion of living in a 'bubble,' This is a poster I made for a speaker series that views Graphic Design in a new perspective, unconventional way. Speakers challenge the idea of what considered as good and bad designs as well as experimenting with new methods and mediums. The topic of the talk, as it is reflected on the poster, challenges the conventional methods and practices of graphic design. This poster was coded in Processing and refined in Adobe Illustrator.

Escaping the Bubble of Design Poster

Designing beyond the conventional method of design.

Gadgets are made to solve problems, and generally they should make someone's life easier. Applying this concept to my situation, I decided to dedicate this project to my brother and sister in law who were expecting a baby around the same time this project were due. Like other parents, taking care of a baby is not easy. These graphic pieces were built upon the idea to make fun and useful products to help them taking care of their baby along the way.

Imagining a brand that encourage a stronger bond between parents and their children.

This is a 4-week-long project of creating a series of street smart communication designs. I decided to create a wayfinding system for donut shops in Toronto based on TTC Stations. For this edition, The Ultimate Donuts Subway Map consists of 14 sugary sweet places along the Yonge subway line.
